Economic Crisis and Twitter (a Social Networking Platform)
As per BBC News, condom and sandal manufacturer in Manchester, SSL International, has experienced a trade boom during the economic crisis.
However, there are many more such companies that can float on the current economic crisis with huge profits provided they have their Perfect Marketing Strategies in place. Twitter is one that I wanted to discuss here which is indeed a Social Networking Platform and a sought of word of mouth marketing.
What is Twitter?Twitter is a social interaction and micro blogging interface that is increasingly used for breaking news, updates on politics, sports, entertainment and events around the world.
A recent Nielson report notes that Twitter has recorded over a 1000 percent increase in its user base over the last year with over 7 million unique visitors in Feb 2009. Also, ComScore survey puts the latest figures at 10 million Twitter users. Another report estimates that the average age of twitters is 31 and Twitter attracts more adults than teenagers.
Twitter to Promote Major Brands
It is usually very simple and only takes a few seconds to post! Secondly, if you write articles or provide content online, provide a link for those in your Twitter posts. The last thing you post for the day is usually the most important because it will be there the longest. This means that your last post for the day should contain a link that you want your followers to see before your start Twittering again the next day!
Another part of Twitter is contributing. As with any social site it should be a give and take relationship. Notice that give comes first. Make sure to read and follow other users in Twitter. If you find something interesting or helpful, then make sure to reply them, and optionally put a link for it on your Twitter to direct others to more quality content. This can also be as simple as connecting with other users. If they know you are reading their Twitter page, they will be much more likely to check out what you are doing
Now for a big tip. If you really want to maximize the potential with Twitter, you should take advantage of any plug-ins or sites that support Twitter. Here are three, but I'm sure there will be many more in the future if not already.
Squidoo allows you to input your Twitter account info into your Squidoo account and then it can automatically post updates to your Twitter account when you create or update Squidoo lenses.
Facebook has an application called Twitter, that automatically updates your Facebook status when you make a Twitter post.
Free WordPress plug-in, TweetMyBlog will allow to create a two-way connection from your blogs to Twitter. TweetMyBlog allows you to use a widget on your Wordpress blogs that will display your current Twitter feed.. that way all visitors to your blog can look at the widget and see a running feed of your latest Twitter posts. If they clíck on that, they will be brought to your Twitter page. In addition, when you make a new post to your blog, TweetMyBlog will automatically make a post to your Twitter page with a link to your latest blog post. Imagine the extra exposure you can receive by using these tools that help people see more of what you are doing.
Twitter to Track Logistics
Twitter application created and applied by a major company in India for one of its clients will combine Twitter with Google Maps for a logistics company that allows their customers to see the status of their shipment and also lets them to contact the logistics company in case of delay.
Having said all these, the big mistake to watch out for is only posting affiliate links or offers or something on personal grounds on your Twitter page. will look like Spam and many people will see you as just abusing Twitter for your personal gain. Think of it this way, if you would not want to invite your friends or family to keep up with you via Twitter, then you are going about it all wrong.
Moreover, anything you send out or provide, ninety percent should be content and ten percent (at most) advertising.
There are over 200 Twitter based applications such as TwitterSearch, TwitterStats, TweetScan and TwitterTroll that makes it more exciting for geeks and boost the functionality of Twitter.

Selling Gadgets on the Internet through eMarketing:
Running marketing campaigns on the Internet is known as eMarketing and this bridges the internal audit and competitor research. One of the major Internet Marketing brand awareness efforts is to run Pay-Per-Click campaigns on Google Adwords.Here I am going to cover the advantages and flaws of using Google Adwords Interface.
Advantages of Google Adwords: This is the most widely used and accepted eMarketing efforts for tens and thousands of Marketing people around the world. Its user interface is awesome and user friendly.
This is aligned with Google analytics and can be used with a single interface, where in Sales Analysis spreadsheets are one of the many eMarketing tools available in the eMarketing Suite. Compare forecasts to actual and effectiveness of sales, Custom Reporting, Advanced segments are all part of Google's eMarketing Suite.
Flaws on Google Adwords System:
One of Google’s partners had probably taken the Google ad and put it on the spy-ware pop-up that gets triggered when the user is already on the verge of making a purchase. That’s a scam. Because when Apple.com eventually looks at its tracking data, they will think that the user clicked the ad first and then came to make a purchase of Gadgets from its store, when in reality the opposite is what happened. The entire marketing exercise will look great to that company with probably Twenty per cent of their visitors going on to make a purchase.
Further more, the same company, Apple.com increases it bid amount and does not even realize that it could have sold as many gadgets without paying Google anything. It is jumping to the conclusion that it sold those gadgets through Google Adwords Campaigns, when in reality it probably sold them because of its brand reputation or thanks to their TV ad.
This is real and not hypothetical. And it happens to many big advertisers because big companies get more traffic on their sites and you can steal from them without getting noticed. These tactics are not dependent on location of a company. Anyone who buys ads from Google is potentially at risk.
Twitter - Twitter is one of the micro blogging techniques. This can be used by any small, medium to big companies to promote their brands. I shall discuss more on this in my next post dedicated to the Use of Twitter to promote Brands.

Article Marketing: Is a popular eMarketing Strategy to promote brands by writing Articles and publishing them across the steeps and bounds on the Internet. Here I will discuss on execution of Article Marketing strategy in an emarketing standpoint: Making the article appear all over the Internet by requesting Article Writer for a "Single Article Context" each time with different versions of it (like unique Title, H1 and Content), created with not more than 75% of Duplication. For this Article writers can provide us with an Automated and corrected content as described below.
Automated content: Ask Article writers to generate unique content using software like Markov Chains - it uses a mathematical equation to create unlimited content from a single source.- downside is it's hard to perfect and the content produced doesn't pass human reviewAlso, multi-source sentence arrays. Writing an original piece of content. Rewriting each sentence 5 times. Each must be unique but say the same thing.
- Link development is the process of attaining links to a website in order to increase the site's perceived value and popularity.
- Increasing a website's perceived importance and popularity through the acquisition of inbound links is called Link Development. Any marketer can get the Article writers or Coders to explode sentences to big arrays as variables. Randomly pick one sentence, then the second one, then the third, etc. The result is 6 articles with 25 sentences that turns into 28 quintillion articles according to Yahoo answers (6^25). We still can get quite a bit of content.
Benefits: It passes human review because it makes sense. It's always sentence 1, sentence 2, sentence 3, and it looks unique. It's the fraction of the cost of copywriters. Then distribute articles across micro-site network. Submit content to every article directory with embedded links and offers the unique content to other sites in exchange for links (they'll think it's unique content).This is white hat, isn't it? It is, because content is king!
But the issues one can face is that not all generated articles will pass dupe tests. Full sentences can leave a footprint.- So we shall use CopyScape to check before publishing articles. Randomizing words within sentences will do - "don't" is "do not", "pub" is "bar", etc. Then you'll have more than 28 quintillion articles.

Process for tagging a link for article marketing:
Open the Google url builder: http://www.google.com/support/googleanalytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=55578
Enter the landing page the link points to * The landing page url must end in a file extension! This means if you are landing people on examplewebsite.com, you will enter examplewebsite.com/index.html NOT only examplewebsite.com.
For the Source field enter, article
For the Medium field enter, the area the article is written about – examples are: gadgets, watches, etc.
For the Campaign fields enter, the Kws, Title and Promo code (article#) of the article.
Once you get the tagged link, insert it into the article. Make sure the tagged url parameters do not show in the text!
Example – if the link is to examplewebsite.com, that’s how we want the text to appear in the article, but we want the actual hyperlink to point to, http://www.examplewebsite.com/index.html?utm_source=article&utm_medium=id&utm_campaign=10%2Bways%2Bto%2Bstay%2Bsafe

Search Marketing & Internet Advertising Strategies
Search Marketing or a whole Internet advertising plan depends upon the size of a company that want to implement the strategies. The size of a company, its revenue and investment gives a rough estimate as how much should be spent on Online Marketing using the latest media.
Going back to the past way of marketing there was a proverb saying "Use advertising like you are using salt. To make a serving of dal, use a fist of dal and a pinch of salt". Large companies invest on different types of media to promote their brand, such media ads can be found on Mass media - such as Television, Radio, News Paper, bill boards etc.,
However, in the present trend, apart from the traditional marketing media, the Internet and Mobile marketing covers a wide varieties of demographics to drive-in the traffic to the website of a company promoting brand identity.
In addition to this, both the traditional media and the current media of marketing need money to be invested whereas, the small businesses does not need much of the investment inorder to promote the brand, rather it can start by using referrals.
Further more, a company wants to spend on advertising their product, from what is already in the market. It is not at all a good idea to spend on advertising such products. The key is to make the product so interesting and useful to the people recommend it to others stimulating Word of Mouth Marketing, the most effective type of marketing.
To sum up, the size of Advertising is decided to plan how much input you are going to invest on the result you want. You dont have to / want to put too much input, which will create more demand of the product that you can supply.
